What is the NFL Concussion Protocol

Concussions and Football

The NFL is so careful with players who have shown signs of concussion because research has indicated that players who have had repeated concussions due to blows to the head are quite likely to suffer long lasting, possibly permanent damage to their brains.  After a concussion the brain needs time to rest.  If you have suffered a concussion due to any sort of blow to the head, of course seek medical treatment.  Then rest, take it easy,  and seek more care if symptoms of nauseau, double vision, dizziness, and difficulty with thinking clearly persist.

Signs of a concussion will remain in the brain, probably for good.  If your functioning has been negatively affected after a blow to the head, Neurofeedback can assist your brain in developing 'work arounds' for damaged brain tissue.  Contact us for more information about how Neurofeedback can help you.
